Holiday in Italy (Gelato, Bellini, Gigglio Rosso and other good things)

Ciao everyone:) I am back from our 2 week unforgettable holiday in Italy and can't wait to blog all about it! Me and my hubby visited Rome, Florence (with day trips to Siena and Lucca) and finally Venice. All these cities were so beautiful and soo different from each other. Rome was very fast with lots of amazing architecture (the city is like a big museum itself) and fashionable people. We found Florence more relaxed and romantic. Whereas, Venice is something beyond imagination as it completely changes your perspective of the city concept...water instead of the roads and boats instead of the buses...However, there are a few things that all these cities have in common: impressive architecture, yummy gelato and ohhh so delicious food:) So I wanted to share with you my favorite finds in Italy.

Gelato
What was the first thing we did when we landed in Rome? Hmmm...bought ourselves gelato...I heard a lot about how yummy it is BUT it was even better than I've expected:) This place was our favorite as it had over 100 different kinds of gelato. The one with peaches had even real pieces of peaches in it! You will find this place just next to Pantheon piazza.

Shoes
Ohhhhh and I fell in love with these beautiful shoes....and these ones:))) there were just so many of them:)

Giglio Rosso Restaurant

We found this amazing restaurant in the center of Florence. Well, we actually asked our hotel administrator to recommend us a nice place to eat which is mostly visited by locals not tourists. And what a great place it was! We ate there four times and every time the food was outstanding.

 Aventine Hill Keyhole

This was one the highlights of our trip. A friend of mine recommended me to find this keyhole when we are in Rome as apparently the view is spectacular. So we found it and it was soo worth it! Don't google it as it will spoil the surprise.

To find it, take Via di Santa Sabina past the Giardino degli Aranci (the Orange Orchard) and continue straight until you come to a small piazza.

Delicious Bellini

Bellini cocktail originated in Venice and that is why if you are there it is a MUST:) Peach purée & Prosecco...mmmm
